Alien Resurrection was released in the cinema from 1997. In The Netherlands the movie hit the screens in the beginning of December.
The movie received mixed critics and could have done commercially better for Fox. Director Jean-Pierre Jeunet has undoubtly gives his own look on his part of the Alien trilogy. The aliens have been filmed most beautifully. In some of those scenes computeranimation was used for the alieneffects. Only in one or two scenes this animation is to obvious, but in the underwater sequence the effects are marvellous.
Sigourney
Weaver plays a good role as a clone, for which her DNA was mixed with that
of the aliens. The movie has a nice sence of humour, which is the infuence
of Jeunet. His previous score "Delicatessen" can be compared on this point.
This film is worth to look at if you like.
Down below you will find a collection of unique screenshots from Alien Resurrection. These are made by myself using a screencaputere technique. It was my own choice to use the none standard parts of the movies, because there are already enough other pictures available on the internet.
It's also
worth taking a look at the official site of Fox:
